Important information – summer 2026 – construction of the new Gaisberg reservoir!

Unfortunately, the Hohe Mut Bahn I (lower section) will not be able to operate in summer 2026 due to construction work on the reservoir below the railway line. The Hohe Mut Bahn II, including the Alm, will be open from around mid-July 2026. A shuttle bus to the Hohe Mut middle station will also be provided.
 

You want to explore the mountains on two wheels? Nothing better than that! At Schönblick Gurgl, numerous mountain and e-biking tours are within reach. For example, go up to the Langtalereckhütte, to the Festkogel or to the Timmelsjoch - a route, which is just as suitable for racing bike tours. However, you can also use the hiking bus or a motorcycle to experience the high-alpine road to Timmelsjoch. With or without crossing the border to the neighboring South Tyrolean Passeier valley. When you're already on the road, it is also worth making a stop at the Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum at the Timmelsjoch toll station. Further out of the valley, even more excursion destinations and leisure facilities await you, such as Lake Piburg above Ötz, the Stuibenfall - Tyrol's largest waterfall, the outdoor leisure park AREA 47, or the thermal spa AQUA DOME in Längenfeld.
